El Greko Gallery

El Greko Art Gallery is temple of art that has been successfully building the Macedonian idea of the extremely important role of professional private galleries in our country for more than three decades. Very important role in the process of mediation and communication is played by the excellent, central location in the core of Skopje’s urban fabric, on Maxym Gorky Street, which in itself speaks of precise probing into the key aspects of direct exchange of artistic energies with the audience.

Founded in 1993, El Greko Gallery is one of the first professional galleries in Skopje that plays an important role in promoting Macedonian contemporary art. In the exhibition and sales area there are works starting from the founders of Macedonian contemporary art (Nikola Martinovski, Petar Mazev, Ivan Velkov, Dimitar Kondovski…), the middle generation (Sveto Manev, Nove Frangovski, Vladimir Georgievski, Ana Temkova…) and younger generations of artists (Konstanin Kachev, Milan Andov, Tatjana Maneva…).

“The expertise of their team, the refinement in the selection of artists they work with, their mediation with the audience and the power they have on building and upgrading the visual culture among the wider audience and potential buyers of works of art is at an enviable level.”
